Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers hasn’t been on the field for the past two weeks due to injury.

It appears that will be ending soon.

Quinn Ewers is expected to start in the Longhorns’ Oct. 12 Red River Showdown against rival Oklahoma, according to 247Sports.

He has been out the last two games while recovering from an abdominal injury he suffered in his team’s win against UTSA.

Texas has a bye this week, so it gives Ewers extra time to get healthy before returning to the field.

“We haven’t had any setbacks,” Texas coach Steve Sarkisian said of Ewers Monday. “It’s been steady progress. I think he’s getting stronger and more comfortable and more confident, and so we’ll just kind of stay the course with that.”

Anwar Richardson of Orangebloods stated Ewers practiced with first-team reps on Tuesday.

“Quinn is playing,” a source told Richardson regarding Saturday’s game. “No way he misses this game or the rest of the season. He wants to win the SEC and a Natty.”

Without Quinn Ewers, Texas turned to redshirt freshman Arch Manning, who has played well.

Manning led the Longhorns to wins against ULM and Mississippi State while throwing for 582 yards and four touchdowns.

Manning threw two TDs and had two interceptions against Louisiana-Monroe in Week 4. He was just 15-of-29 passing for 258 yards, per his stats on ESPN.

Manning stepped up against Mississippi State, as he was 26-of-31, passing for 325 yards and two scores while also rushing six times for 33 yards and a touchdown.

Quinn Ewers Was An Early Entry For The Heisman Trophy Conversation Prior To Injury

The college football Heisman Trophy odds have been shaken up following an injury to Texas QB Quinn Ewers in Week 3 of college football.

The Texas QB entered the season with the third-best odds.

Prior to his injury, Ewers entered the early Heisman Trophy conversation with a hot start to his third year leading the Longhorns.

He put on an impressive performance in a signature win against Michigan, as he racked up 246 yards and three touchdowns through the air.

Ewers has completed 58 of his 79 pass attempts this season for 691 yards and eight touchdowns to two interceptions.

NBA fans are praying for basketball icon Michael Jordan following the emergence of a certain photo.

Jordan, who is widely considered to be the greatest NBA player of all time, was in France this week watching Monaco play Barcelona. The teams squared off for a UEFA Champions League showdown at the Louis II Stadium on Thursday, with the home side snatching a shocking 2-1 victory.

Photos of MJ in the stands quickly surfaced online, with his eyes a worrying shade of yellow.

Check it out below:

The outing hardly marked the first time Jordan’s eyes got fans talking, but it appears whatever the condition is has gotten worse. Most fans are of the view that he’s jaundiced due to excessive drinking and could be dealing with liver problems.
