Recently, it was announced that after a trip to Germany to have a specialist try to help with an Achilles injury, running back Christian Mccaffrey would be missing the next few months of the season.
This report came after it was believed that the Achilles tendinitis that had benched Mccaffrey for the first three weeks of the season now wasn’t all too serious. Of course, though, that thought process has proven to be wrong.
49ers GM John Lynch has now broken his silence since the news came out that could seriously derail the San Francisco offense and season.
“We needed to quiet it down,” he said. “The plan was to give it the time to do that and then at some point in a thoughtful way to ramp him back up.”
“What he does and where he goes, he’s got people who work on his body and have for a long time. Now he’s back here and we’ll have to hit certain markers and try the ramp up. God willing, the thing has quieted down and we can build him up in a smart, thoughtful way,” he continued.
None of what Lynch had to say about McCaffrey seemed all too optimistic, so maybe this news is just as shocking to the front office as it is to everyone else.
Christian McCaffrey Is Signed With The 49ers Through 2028
After being traded to the 49ers, it didn’t take long for McCaffrey to sign an extension with his new team.
The 49ers added on two years and $38 million to his already massive four-year $64 million deal he signed with the Panthers in 2020 that carried over.
Hopefully, for the sake of San Francisco, this isn’t an injury that lingers around too long, or his contract could become a not-so-good investment.
Former NFL Quarterback Brett Favre Lashes Out At Taylor Swift, Accuses Her Of Using Her “Influence” For Foul Reasons

Former NFL star quarterback Brett Favre has taken a swipe at pop sensation Taylor Swift for political reasons ahead of the upcoming 2024 presidential elections.
The 11-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro is known to be a supporter of former President Donald Trump and has previously endorsed him.
He’s since taken a shot at Swift, who recently endorsed Democratic candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris following Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes informing everyone that he wouldn’t endorse a candidate.
“Good take by Mahomes,” he wrote in a tweet.
“I see a lot of celebs trying to influence their audience instead of letting the people think for themselves. If the best choice for them ain’t clear and they’re easily swayed by their fav pop artist, it’s not going to be a good thing.”
