Steven Adams is a fan favorite among NBA fans. He has become one of those players who people like for both his personality and his play on the court.

However, one internet troll had no problem taking some shots at him.

“One time I saw Steven Adams at the CVOS on sunset in echo park with a hooker and he was buying condoms,” they said

Adams hilariously replied, “I was with your mum that day. Had to be safe.”

Of course, it’s not common for athletes of such high popularity to respond to these kinds of comments, considering they get them almost daily

However, this reply went viral because of Adam’s quick and hilarious clapback, which was even better than the original insult.

“Adams is renowned for his physical presence, rebounding ability, and solid defense,” joked one comment.

“Collision with him on and off the court causes injury.. Even online now,” said another.

This should serve as a great lesson to everyone that if you try to troll Adams, you better make sure it leaves him speechless, or you might end up being the joke.

Steven Adams Is Entering His 11th Season

Adams has been around the NBA for quite some time now, as his first season was in 2013 when he was just 20.

He spent the first seven seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he solidified himself as a scary defensive presence to every team.

After that, though, he has bounced around a few different teams, including the New Orleans Pelicans for a year, the Memphis Grizzlies for two, and now the Houston Rockets.

Now, though, at 31 years old, it will remain to be seen if he still has much left in the tank or if the end of his career is nearing.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield and his wife Emily have had to evacuate their home this week because of Hurricane Helene.

The hurricane hit northern Florida pretty hard, causing major flooding and power loss.

Mayfield, his wife Emily, their daughter, and their dog left their residence before the storm hit as a means of caution. Emily furnished her followers with an update on Friday.

“Baker, Koko, Fergus and I evacuated yesterday and are safe,” she said via Instagram. “Our sweet, sweet community got pummeled, but even that doesn’t compare to the people up North who took this storm head on. It’s unfathomable.”

Emily is grateful that Helene did not affect the Mayfield home but revealed she was “praying nonstop” for the people dealing with the impact while also offering tangible assistance.

“I am looking for ways to get out and tangibly help,” she added. “Please send me anything you find, and I will share the good ones.”
