Taylor Swift confesses to Chariah Gordon about her plans after missing Travis Kelce's birthday

Taylor Swift made her return to Arrowhead Stadium on Monday night to watch the Kansas City Chiefs extend their undefeated run with a 26-13 win over the New Orleans Saints. Despite missing Travis Kelce‘s 35th birthday celebration over the weekend, Swift was there to support her boyfriend as the Chiefs improved to 5-0.

Kelce, though quieter than usual, contributed 70 yards on nine receptions and played a key part in a trick play, handing off the ball to rookie Xavier Worthy, who sprinted in for a touchdown.

The Chiefs‘ victory solidified their strong start to the season as they head into a bye week, with their next challenge coming against the San Francisco 49ers on October 20.

Swift, watching from Kelce‘s suite, shared a lighthearted moment with Chariah Gordon, the girlfriend of Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman.

In a video posted to Instagram, Gordon asked Swift how she felt about the winSwift jokingly passed the question back, and the two agreed, “Perfect is the word!” as they celebrated the Chiefs‘ flawless record heading into the break.

Mahomes compares Smith-Schuster to Kelce

Although Swift‘s appearance grabbed headlines, much of the post-game focus was on Hunt and Smith-Schuster-two players who weren’t on the Chiefs‘ opening roster this season but have quickly become integral to the team.

Hunt, who led the NFL in rushing as a rookie with Kansas City in 2017, returned to the team this year, while Smith-Schuster, a key part of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win in 2022, rejoined after a short stint with the Patriots.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes couldn’t help but praise Smith-Schuster after the game, even drawing comparisons between him and Kelce for their ability to make plays in crucial moments.

“Trav is kind of one of a kind, but [Smith-Schuster] has a good feel for the entire concept of the play and so he knows how to get into the open spots,” Mahomes said.

“He did a good job today of beating man when they played man and finding windows [in zone] to get big catches. It’s a credit to not only the guys and how hard they work, but coach Reid and just knowing their skill sets and how to put them in great positions. Kareem just runs extremely hard.”
