Former Los Angeles Lakers star center Dwight Howard is among the athletes participating in the 33rd season of Dancing With The Stars. On Tuesday, the 38-year-old Howard showcased his dancing talent and dazzled the spectators with his debut performance. NBA fans offered hilarious reactions to his viral performance, appreciating Howard’s talent in their own way.

Apart from the 2020 NBA champion, American gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik, ex-NFL wide receiver Danny Amendola, and American rugby union player Ilona Maher are the other athletes among the 13 participants taking part this year.

The former Lakers center performed salsa to Montell Jordan’s “This Is How We Do It” with his professional dancer partner, Daniella Karagach. The duo delivered a captivating performance as Howard impressed the audience with his superb movement and natural charisma.

Howard and Daniella received 22 out of 30 points from the three judges (8, 7, and 7), which tied them for the second-best performance of the evening.

Following his amazing debut performance on the show, fans flooded social media with admiring remarks. With a huge height difference between the two, many fans applauded Daniella for making a 6-foot-10 individual move with rhythm.

 

Apart from Howard and Daniella, Nedoroscik and his professional partner Rylee Arnold bagged 21 points with their performance at the DWTS. The American gymnast and his partner performed on Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now.”

Talking about Howard, the eight-time All-Star has not retired but last played in the NBA in 2022. He previously competed for the Taiwan Mustangs of The Asian Tournament in 2024.
