The point of pre-game intros in basketball is to fire up the players before tip-off, but one of Chris Paul’s San Antonio Spurs teammates missed that memo last night.

The 39-year-old Chris Paul was brought into San Antonio for his leadership and NBA experience. Renowned as a strong locker room leader, CP3 may have to hold a stern meeting with one of his teammates.

Paul and San Antonio visited the Los Angeles Clippers at the Intuit Dome on Monday evening. During pre-game player introductions, Paul was seen looking visibly disgusted as he made his way onto the court.

Going by his reaction, we’ll go ahead and assume that somebody on the Spurs rudely passed gas without warning:

Chris Paul turned in a vintage performance in the 113-104 loss, recording 14 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and two steals in 34 minutes of action. Second-year star Victor Wembanyama led the Spurs with 24 points.

Paul signed with the Spurs in free agency after being waived by the Golden State Warriors, who began a drastic roster overhaul in the offseason. CP3 averaged a career-low 9.2 points per game in a rotational role on the Warriors.

For his career, the future Hall of Famer has averaged 17.5 points, 9.3 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game. The only thing missing on his resume is a championship ring, but his strong start with the Spurs could make Paul an enticing trade deadline target for title contenders.

Chris Paul Has Been A Great Pickup For Spurs

The former New Orleans Hornets and Los Angeles Clippers superstar is performing better than expected in his first year with the Spurs, averaging 12 points, 4.3 rebounds and 8.9 assists per game.

There’s still plenty of season ahead, but Chris Paul has shown that he still has lots of quality basketball left in him. And there shouldn’t be a shortage of NBA heavyweights interested in adding him to their roster before the deadline.

Nick Bosa may have landed himself in hot water with the NFL following his actions after the San Francisco 49ers beat the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night.

The Niners enjoyed a 30-24 win over Dallas in the ‘SNF’ fixture. Quarterback Brock Purdy had a stellar game, completing 18 of 26 passing attempts for 260 yards and a touchdown while showing some surprising athleticism as a scrambler.

Bosa also had an impressive outing as he made life pretty difficult for the Cowboys offensive line, also making three tackles, a sack, and two QB hits.

After the game, he popped up behind Purdy while the QB was being interviewed and pointed to his “Make America Great Again” hat before running toward the locker room.
