It appears as though two students managed to sneak in some free alcohol at the Colorado Buffaloes’ home opener against North Dakota State on Thursday evening.

Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes kicked off their 2024 campaign with a thrilling 31-26 victory against the Bison in Boulder on Thursday. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders put on another clinic with 445 passing yards and four touchdowns in the victory.

During the game, ESPN’s cameras caught two fans drinking out of a water bottle in the student section at Folsom Field. Judging by their reactions, it’s hard to believe they were actually consuming water.

Assuming the students weren’t drinking contaminated water, they were probably consuming vodka or another alcoholic beverage instead.

Some fans on social media took it upon themselves to guess exactly what they were drinking out of that water bottle:

We’re not sure if those students are actually of the legal drinking age. Either way, it looks like they somehow got away with having to pay the outrageous prices that sporting venues like Folsom Field charge for alcoholic beverages.

And to make matters better for those fans, they were treated to a heart-pounding Colorado Buffaloes victory to kick off the season on a riveting note.

A year ago, the Buffaloes also kicked off their season on a high note by upsetting the TCU Horned Frogs (the 2022 national runner-ups) on the road. Deion Sanders’ group jumped out to a 3-0 start before dropping eight of their final nine games for a 4-8 finish.

The Colorado Buffaloes will try to make it 2-0 when they visit the rival Nebraska Cornhuskers at Memorial Stadium next Saturday (7:30 p.m. EST).

Expectations Are Higher For Colorado Buffaloes In 2024

The Buffaloes were a fun surprise in the first month of last year, but they won’t be catching anyone off guard this year. Shedeur Sanders and two-way star Travis Hunter won’t fly under the radar this time around after jaw-dropping 2023 campaigns.

Colorado also bolstered its offensive line with several notable recruits via the transfer portal, shoring up one of its biggest weaknesses. They may not contend for a national championship this year, but expectations are much higher in Boulder now after a roller-coaster of a 2023 season.

Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes, posted a strong but intriguing message on her Instagram story amid the significant backlash she has received.

The 28-year-old mother of two, soon to be three, “liked” one of the posts from the Republican nominee as many called for Tayor Swift to stop being around her.

Brittany Mahomes shared a quote from Shane Pruitt on Instagram: “Contrary to the tone of the world today… You can disagree with someone and still love them. You can have differing views and still be kind.”

Brittany herself appeared to send a message to her critics on social media by adding her own personal caption of, “Read that again!”
