The San Antonio Spurs squared off against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday in a game. Veteran Spurs guard Chris Paul was ejected late in the first quarter after receiving two quick technical fouls in a dramatic sequence.
The incident began with just over a minute left in the opening quarter when Paul earned his first technical foul for disputing a call. Moments later, following a turnover on an inbound play, Paul continued his heated exchange with the referees, leading to a second technical foul.
“You acting like the police,” he said before his ejection.

Paul’s exit was swift and surprising, as it came just 11 seconds after his first technical foul and only 11 minutes into the game. The veteran guard was visibly frustrated by his ejection. Before his ejection, Paul had contributed five points, four rebounds, and four assists.
Chris Paul Reveals Post-NBA Plans
In a recent interview with Tony Parker, Chris Paul opened up about his plans after retiring from professional basketball. The San Antonio Spurs veteran made it clear that coaching at the NBA level is not in his immediate future.
“I always said I wasn’t going to coach. But I don’t know; I’m open to a whole bunch of things now,” Paul said. “Definitely want to be present for the kids, but I definitely want to be in ownership. I help coach my AAU team right now, and that is so fun to me.”
The 12-time NBA All-Star, who recently became emotional after reaching a milestone, is in his first season with the Spurs. So far, Paul is averaging 10.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 8.5 assists this season.
