The NBA Christmas mania seems to have upped the ante among the community. After LeBron James made it clear that the NBA’s Christmas Day game was an electric show, Kevin Durant, too, recently chimed in with his take. Facing off against the Denver Nuggets, the Phoenix Suns came out on top with a 110-100 victory. Now, looking at the scoreline itself, it is clear that the match was a closely contested game.
Echoing similar sentiments in his post-game interview, the Suns’ star expressed his elation. Durant seemed significantly excited to have had the opportunity to feature in the Christmas Day game.
“It’s not just [me, Steph and LeBron], you see Jokic tonight. You see a hall of famer, an icon in Russ tonight. … It was an amazing day for basketball, I’m grateful I was able to play,” said the Suns’ star. His acknowledgment of former teammate Russell Westbrook was yet another heartwarming moment for the audience.
Before the Suns’ game, it was yet another thriller between the Lakers and the Golden State Warriors. With LeBron James dropping 31 points, the Lakers edged out Steph Curry and co. 115-113. Soon after the game, King James dropped a subtle comment hinting at the NBA’s supremacy over the NFL. Meanwhile, with Durant giving Russell Westbrook his flowers, the internet had a lot of things to say.
Hoops Nation Elated With Kevin Durant’s Warm Appreciation
Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook were one of the most fearsome duos. Despite donning different jerseys at the moment, the former seems to still have a lot of respect. Seeing his comments, the online fans cannot help but be overwhelmed with joy.
One fan commented, “Seeing KD give Russell Westbrook his flowers is always dope.”

Another fan said, “KD giving Russ props damnn.”
A third fan commented, “Had him for 30 and Joker for 27 in a parlay. They said not today. Suns were up big but Denver decided not to go to joker down the stretch. That’s why viewership is way down. The game got away from the nuggets when joker spent half thr 4th on the bench.”
This fan looked happy as the comment read, “I think we all just healed a little bit.”
Another fan praised Kevin Durant by saying, “KD respects the game more than just about any player in NBA history. He truly loves basketball.”
This user, too, echoed similar sentiments. The comment read, “Hearing KD give props to his peers and legends just shows how much respect these greats have for the game. Love it!”
Lastly, this fan looked pumped up, “Everyone SHOWED UP!!”
Thus, by ending the Christmas day NBA in style, the stars of the league ensured that audiences didn’t lose interest. They also gifted them with electric performances so that they continued to support the league in large numbers as always.
Phoenix Suns Shock Everybody By Sending Superstar Kevin Durant To NBA Heavyweight In Blockbuster Trade Proposal

A blockbuster trade proposal has the Phoenix Suns setting off fireworks across the NBA by dealing superstar Kevin Durant to a Western Conference juggernaut.
There’s no indication that the Suns are open to dealing Kevin Durant, or that the future Hall of Famer wants out. But the fact remains that Phoenix has one playoff series win in the KD era, and at 12-8 through 20 games, they don’t exactly resemble a championship contender.
If the Suns decide to shake up their All-Star core, Durant has to be the odd man out. Devin Booker isn’t going anywhere, and veteran guard Bradley Beal might have the most untradeable contract in the NBA.
Eddie Bitar of Fadeaway World proposed a mammoth trade idea that has Phoenix sending Kevin Durant back to the Golden State Warriors in exchange for Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, Gary Payton II, De’Anthony Melton and first-round picks in 2026 and 2029:
“The chemistry between Durant and Curry is unmatched, with the two feeding off each other’s strengths to devastate opposing defenses. If Durant’s time in Phoenix shows signs of stagnating, he could be motivated to initiate a trade to the Warriors—a team he knows will be ready to compete the moment he steps on the floor…
Most importantly, Durant’s departure could also allow Booker to further solidify his role as the franchise player, with Beal supporting him as an experienced scorer who has made the playoffs multiple times. The return for Durant would bring in a mix of young talent and future draft picks, potentially giving the Suns a balanced roster that can grow and adapt as Booker and Beal enter their prime. “
