Klay Thompson returned to the Bay Area on Tuesday night, but for the first time in his career, it was as an opponent of the Golden State Warriors. After spending 13 unforgettable seasons with the Warriors, Thompson suited up for the Dallas Mavericks, leading them to a victory over his former team.

Though the game was competitive, the night was filled with nostalgia and appreciation for the impact Thompson left in Golden State. Thompson’s departure from the Warriors was a significant moment for the franchise and its fans. Last season, contract negotiations between Thompson and the Warriors didn’t end in a new extension, eventually leading the star to take on a fresh challenge with Dallas.

But if there was any lingering tension, the Warriors certainly put it aside, embracing Thompson with a heartwarming welcome back at the Chase Center in San Francisco. He made his entrance like a hero, all the lights on him, as the crowd rose to its feet to honor the player who had been such a critical part of their success.

Fans were quick to celebrate the moment, taking to social media to praise the Warriors for honoring one of their “Splash Brothers.” For many, Thompson’s legacy goes beyond championships as it represents an era of cherished memories.

Stephen Curry Honors Klay Thompson In Silence During Warriors Tribute

Klay Thompson returned to Golden State as a hero on Tuesday night, receiving a heartfelt tribute from the Warriors and their fans. The team played a special video to honor Thompson. However, while many anticipated a speech from Curry, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr revealed that Curry and Thompson had discussed the idea and chose instead to focus on the game.

Steve Kerr said that Steph Curry will not address the crowd about Klay Thompson pregame. He said Steph and Klay discussed it last night, and both decided they’d rather focus on the game after tribute video,” Anthony Slater of The Athletic wrote.

The tribute meant a lot to Thompson. For him, the moment was a reminder that he will always hold a special place in the hearts of Golden State’s fans.

ESPN has made a decision on Jason Kelce following his recent altercation with a young Penn State fan.

The former Eagles star had an incident with a Nittany Lions supporter on his way to their game against Ohio State on Saturday that ended up going viral online.

Kelce made an appearance on ESPN’s ‘College GameDay’ ahead of the fixture, but it wasn’t a smooth Saturday as he smashed a fan’s phone for asking how he feels about his brother Travis being “f***ot” for dating Taylor Swift, because it’s apparently gay to date women now…

Kelce would grab said fan’s phone, as he was recording him at the time, before smashing it and then asking him, “Who’s the faggot now?”
