Despite this mishap, the Warriors won the game with a final score of 113-103. Podziemski came off the bench and contributed 12 points, one assist, and seven rebounds in 20 minutes of play. Star player Stephen Curry had an impressive performance, scoring 31 points, recording 10 assists, and grabbing three rebounds.
Podziemski Takes Issue With Steve Kerr’s Recent Remarks
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has been experimenting with his lineup since the start of the season. He initially decided to use a 12-man rotation and recently chose to bring Draymond Green off the bench to focus more on the young player Jonathan Kuminga.
After the intense win against the Timberwolves, Kerr noted that the younger players are still learning how to play alongside Stephen Curry. He also encouraged them to pass the ball more to Curry. However, Podziemski expressed his dissatisfaction with the head coach’s strategy.
“I don’t really think. I just play,” Podziemski told reporters in the post-game press conference. “When I’m out there and I’m open, I shoot it. If not, I make a play. I don’t really look too much into. And I know we have Steph Curry on the court and if he’s open, I’m going throw the ball to him. I don’t really look too deep into those messages.”
