The Los Angeles Lakers started their 2024-25 NBA regular-season campaign against the new-look Minnesota Timberwolves. Among the highly-anticipated moments this season, Lakers star LeBron James and his son Bronny James playing together is a can’t-miss spectacle. The father-son duo created history on the season’s opening night by sharing the court against the Wolves.
After a neck-and-neck competition in the first quarter, Minnesota dominated Los Angeles 23-22. However, the Lakers rallied in the second quarter to end the first half with a 13-point lead over the Timberwolves.
With four minutes remaining in the half-time, Lakers head coach J.J. Redick decided to make historic substitutions. LeBron James and his son Bronny checked in together when the Lakers were up 51-35.
