Jaylen Brown had an incredible finish to last season with the Boston Celtics, achieving individual and team success. Not only did Brown help the Celtics win the NBA title, but he was also named MVP in the Eastern Conference Finals and the NBA Finals.
However, despite his achievements, Team USA did not select him for their star-studded 12-man roster for the Paris Olympics. Regarding replacing Kawhi Leonard on the roster, Team USA opted for Brown’s teammate, Derrick White, instead of him. This decision left Brown feeling frustrated.
Since then, the Olympics snub has become a frequent topic in Brown’s interviews, and reporters at the Celtics’ Media Day were quick to bring it up. However, Brown didn’t hesitate to shut down the line of questioning with a humorous response.

“Damn, question number one? Can’t warm up a little? S–t,” Brown said.
Ultimately, Derrick White, Jayson Tatum, and Jrue Holiday went on to represent Team USA and win gold at the Olympics. For Brown, being left out remains a bitter experience he prefers not to dwell on.
Jaylen Brown Stresses Importance of Role Players in Celtics’ Game Plan Against the Pistons
Jaylen Brown knows that success doesn’t always have to come from the star players. During the Boston Celtics’ media day, Jaylen Brown opened up about the importance of involving their bench and role players in their game strategy.
While discussing their upcoming game against the Detroit Pistons, Brown highlighted the need to play through players like Payton Pritchard and Sam Hauser.
“We gonna play through Payton; let him go for 30. Play through Sam; let him shoot 10 threes tonight. We gonna still win the game. It doesn’t have to be the normal way, but that gives those guys confidence. That gives those guys the ability to run free. We gonna need that down the line,” Brown said.
The Boston team will face the Detroit Pistons on October 27. Let’s see if this approach works for the reigning champions.

Former NFL star quarterback Brett Favre has taken a swipe at pop sensation Taylor Swift for political reasons ahead of the upcoming 2024 presidential elections.
He’s since taken a shot at Swift, who recently endorsed Democratic candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris following Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes informing everyone that he wouldn’t endorse a candidate.
“Good take by Mahomes,” he wrote in a tweet.
“I see a lot of celebs trying to influence their audience instead of letting the people think for themselves. If the best choice for them ain’t clear and they’re easily swayed by their fav pop artist, it’s not going to be a good thing.”
