There is not a soul in the world that does not know about Muhammad Ali. The impact he had on the Boxing world as well as the real world, cannot be understated. Now, the absolute ‘GOAT’ has passed on, he leaves his legacy in the form of his grandson, Nico Ali Walsh. And he met another ‘GOAT’ of this era recently in a hotel encounter.

This story begins on a seemingly ordinary day at the PFL 5 event in Atlanta last year in June. Jones, the UFC heavyweight champ, was just chilling and bumped into boxing royalty. The two fighters locked eyes, and an impromptu sparring session began. But this was all in fun as Jones wrote this on his recent Instagram story:

“This video was several months ago, but man, what an honor it was boxing with Muhammad Ali’s deadly grandson.

This came after Nico Ali Walsh posted it on his Instagram. Jones, known for his devastating elbows, threw some playful jabs at Walsh. The young boxer, not to be outdone, showed off his own moves. The whole scene was like a bizarre dance-off. Jones even busted out the famous ‘Ali Shuffle.’

In the end, it all ended with a hug. This encounter sparked a lot of chatter in the fighting community. It’s moments like these that remind us fighters are human too. They can goof around, show respect, and maybe even make new friends.

Nico Ali Walsh Reveals He Turned Down Jake Paul Boxing Fight

Imagine being the grandson of Muhammad Ali. Talk about some big boxing gloves to fill! That’s Nico Ali Walsh’s reality every single day. Young Nico is trying to make his own name. He’s got the genes as the world watches him match his grandfather’s legacy.

Jake Paul, the YouTube sensation turned boxer, has been shaking up the sport. Love him or hate him, he has got a knack for stirring the pot and filling seats. Nico Ali Walsh recently dropped a bombshell. He turned down a multi-million dollar offer to fight Jake Paul.

“I’m not a part of that circus league of boxing… He disrespects my family, saying I’m only in boxing because I’m desperate for money and fame,” said Walsh in a post-fight interview after the Sona Akale fight.

Now, that’s a gutsy move. Ali Walsh’s decision raises some interesting questions. What’s the value of legacy in today’s world? Does it pay the bills? On one hand, he’s honoring his grandfather’s memory. On the other, he might’ve missed a huge opportunity. It’s a real head-scratcher!
