LeBron James was sidelined during the Los Angeles Lakers’ 107-98 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers due to soreness in his left foot. He also missed the following game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Later, Lakers head coach JJ Redick explained that James was absent for personal reasons.
While fans were concerned about the superstar, he returned to the court in a recent game against the Memphis Grizzlies. During an interview with Spectrum SportsNet, James shared a concerning update about his lingering foot injury.
“It’s an everyday thing. It’s been lingering for the last few years, but I was able to do a lot of great things to reassure not only that, but I got kneed in the quad in the Atlanta game at the end of regulation by (Anthony Davis), that’s now back to 100 percent. Probably three days ago it was still pretty sore. But I’m able to get that back to 100 (percent), so that was great, so I was able to hit a lot of other elements as well.” James said.
In the game against the Grizzlies, James recorded an impressive 18 points, 8 assists, and 8 rebounds. At the same time, Anthony Davis displayed his dominance by scoring 40 points, contributing 2 assists, and pulling down 16 rebounds. This outstanding performance was essential in helping the Lakers secure a 116-110 victory at Crypto.com Arena.
