Minnesota Timberwolves standout Anthony Edwards is widely recognized for his candid demeanor on the court. He frequently engages in spirited exchanges and banter with fellow players. Notably, he has previously made bold remarks regarding Michael Jordan and athletes from that era, sparking some debate. Recently, he found himself in intense confrontations during a game.

Although the matchup wasn’t against the Dallas Mavericks, Edwards still mentioned Mavericks star Luka Doncic. During the exciting recent game against the Los Angeles Clippers, the Ant-Man couldn’t resist talking smack about Doncic to the referees after he was penalized for carrying the ball.

“Luka Doncic do that s**t all f**king year, bro! Luka Doncic do it all game. Every time he dribble the ball, he do this [carrying motion] and they never call it. Then, you call it on me. That’s crazy. Every motherf**king player in the league do it and you f**king call it on me. That’s crazy. … Nobody else, but you call it on me.” Edwards said (Via LegendZ).

At that moment, Julius Randle stepped into the conversation with a hint of exasperation, remarking, “Ain’t nobody calling a carry, it’s 2024”

Despite the drama in the recent game, the Timberwolves secured a decisive victory with a final score of 108-80. Edwards contributed significantly, scoring 16 points, along with 4 assists and 6 rebounds. Meanwhile, Julius Randle had a strong performance, tallying 20 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds.

 

Randle Reveals His Respect For Anthony Edwards

On October 2, 2024, Randle was traded to the Timberwolves in an exciting three-team deal. After playing several games alongside Edwards, Randle expressed his admiration for Ant-Man in a recent interview on the Pardon My Take podcast.

“From an athlete’s perspective, I’ve never—it’s different playing against him, ’cause you only play against him, like, for me, it’s like once or twice a year, you know what I mean? But now it’s like I see it every night, and I’ve never seen an athlete like that be able to, like, move the way he does. Cover ground, like, get downhill to be able to cut and just maneuver, and he’s not, like, a little guy. He’s a big dude.” Randle said.

The Timberwolves are currently in 10th place in the Western Conference, with 11 wins and 10 losses this regular season.

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has emerged as the new front-runner to purchase one of the NFL’s most valuable franchises.

You may recall that Jeff Bezos had interest in purchasing the Washington Commanders from Dan Snyder, but they wound up selling the franchise to the Josh Harris-led group for $6.05 billion.

There have also been rumors about Bezos potentially buying the Seattle Seahawks. Since Paul Allen’s passing in 2018, the team has been run by his sister, Jody Allen.

Speculation is growing about New York Jets owner Woody Johnson potentially selling the team as the Jets finish out another disastrous season. The Jets entered 2024 with Super Bowl expectations, but Aaron Rodgers and company have been a giant disappointment with a 3-8 record.

According to Bovada, Jeff Bezos is now the betting favorite to purchase the Jets from Johnson and take over as their next owner. Johnson has owned the football organization since 2000.
