The Los Angeles Lakers secured a hard-fought 128-123 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night. This win was particularly sweet for Anthony Davis and his team, as it avenged their earlier 131-114 loss to the Grizzlies on November 6 in Memphis.

As expected in a nail-biting revenge game, the game was filled with intense moments and trash talk between the players. Although Grizzlies star Ja Morant was sidelined with a hip injury, he made his presence felt from the bench with sharp words directed at Davis.

At one point, after Jaren Jackson Jr. scored on Davis, Morant loudly exclaimed, “God damn, AD. God damn, AD.” The taunting didn’t stop there. Following a three-pointer by Memphis’ Santi Aldama, Morant was seen gesturing towards Davis with a finger movement that appeared to mimic a gun.

Morant also spotted shouting to Davis and the Lakers bench, “Come here, AD… they [the Lakers] can’t f*ck with y’all [Memphis].”

Anthony Davis, however, was not one to back down. After a strong fourth-quarter performance, Davis responded with his own taunts. He turned his attention to Morant and even exchanged words with Ja’s father, Tee Morant, saying, “I’m different, n****.”

Davis’ performance on the court matched his confidence. The Lakers legend finished the night with 21 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, and three blocks.

Anthony Davis Praises Dalton Knecht As Lakers Beat Pelicans

The Los Angeles Lakers secured another victory on Saturday night, this time against the New Orleans Pelicans. While the team celebrated their win, Anthony Davis took a moment to highlight rookie Dalton Knecht’s potential following the game.

“Every time he shoots the ball, we think it’s gonna go in. That’s why we get so frustrated and upset when he doesn’t shoot. He’s a great player,” Davis said.

Davis scored 31 points and 14 rebounds, and Knecht added 27 points and seven rebounds in the win. With the win, the Lakers are now on a five-game winning streak and are third in the Western Conference.
