Since Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic joined forces for the Dallas Mavericks, the team’s trajectory has seen a positive shift. Last season, the dynamic duo led the Mavericks to their first NBA Finals appearance in 13 years. Although Irving fell short against the Boston Celtics, his on-court performance became a talking point among fans.

Recently, Irving took to Twitch to livestream and revisit some of his highlights from the season, including an unforgettable lob dunk from a pass by Luka Doncic in a game against the Utah Jazz. As Irving watched the clip, he couldn’t help but express his excitement over the jaw-dropping dunk.

“I really feel like you could throw it at any point; I am going to get it like James White. You could throw the ball anywhere, and I’m going to get it. How else should I feel? Yes, I have bounced,” Irving said.

That was a nice dunk, though. That’s probably one of the best dunks I’ve caught in the league, for sure, for sure,” he added.

Keon Ellis Names Kyrie Irving as the Toughest Player to Guard

Sacramento Kings star Keon Ellis recently revealed that Kyrie Irving is the toughest player he has had to defend on the court. During an appearance on The Deuce & Mo Podcast, Ellis shared his thoughts on what makes the Mavs star such a challenge to guard

“Kyrie Irving is probably the toughest to guard. Because for me, I am the most worried about guarding guys who can shoot it from deep. If you can shoot the 3 at a high clip, it’s like, damn, because now I have to press up and I can’t use my wingspan,” Ellis said.

After Irving’s standout performance last season, Ellis’ claim seems more than fair, though Gilbert Arenas slammed him while comparing him with Allen Iverson. The Dallas Mavericks star averaged 25.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game throughout the regular season. Irving continued to shine in the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics, putting up 19.8 points and 5.0 assists per game.

One of the most anticipated match-ups in week one is in Brazil this weekend, and Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers are slated to face off against Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles.

While it may be some of these players’ first time in the country, sadly, they won’t be able to explore all the landmarks the place has to offer. According to one report, the players have been told not to leave their hotel rooms.

Along with essentially getting a shelter-in-place order, the players were also advised to refrain from responding to suspicious text messages on their phones and not to invite their families on the trip.
