Vaught Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, MS, was rocking for the Ole Miss Rebels when they took on the Georgia Bulldogs.
The Rebels’ fans got their money’s worth in Saturday night’s celebration. A record 68,126 fans packed Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, and they would get two chances to rush the field.
No. 16 Ole Miss pulled off their most high-profile victory in the Lane Kiffin era, strengthening their case for a spot in the College Football Playoffs when they defeated Georgia.
Rebels fans couldn’t wait to celebrate their big win over Georgia on Saturday, but they stormed the field with 16 seconds remaining in the game.
Lane Kiffin was spotted on the sidelines, not happy about it.
Once the game was officially over, the fans finally did it the correct way, but one of them would feel the pain.
One fan wanted to get some time with head coach Lane Kiffin, but a state trooper wasn’t having it.
Footage from the storming of the field showed a state trooper protecting Kiffin, with his left hand on his back guiding him through the crowd and his right arm out protecting him from being hit.
One fan got blasted by that massive arm and disappeared to the ground below.

No. 16 Ole Miss Mayy Have Strengthed Their Chances To Get in Playoffs
Ole Miss earned one of its biggest wins in program history, defeating Georgia 28-10 at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
The win marked the first time the Rebels have ever beaten a top-two AP-ranked foe inside their home stadium.
This victory came a year after the Bulldogs wrecked Ole Miss 52-17 in a battle of top-10 teams.
Now, the Rebels may have positioned themselves to get into the College Football Playoffs.
