Jason Kelce may have hurt one Philadelphia Eagles fan who had his heart broken twice in one day.
Kelce, the newly-retired center of the Philadelphia Eagles, returned to the City of Brotherly Love as an employee of ESPN to cover the “Monday Night Football” contest between his Birds and the Atlanta Falcons.
He was given a hero’s welcome when he arrived at Lincoln Financial Field, where he was seen partying with some fans in the parking lot before the Eagles took on the Atlanta Falcons.
The seven-time Pro Bowler was then seen on stage hyping up the crowd as he danced in a green velour tracksuit.
The biggest moment from Jason Kelce came when he and Eagles superfan Ron Dunphy, known for his belly tattoos commemorating Philadelphia teams, including the Eagles logo on his chest, came together for a celebratory chest bump before the game.
It did not end well for the fan.
Following a collision with Jason Kelce in mid-air, Dunphy stumbled back into some of the people on stage and was seen holding his left knee while limping.
He appeared to yell in pain and limp around on stage.
Later in the day, Dunphy shared a video of him icing his knee while sitting in the stands at Lincoln Financial Field, where more heartbreak was to come.
“F–k my whole knee up,” Dunphy wrote on X, adding three crying emojis. “So worth it lmao.”
“Say what you want. Yea I got hurt doing a chest bump. But I got higher than Kelce,” Dunphy wrote on X after the game, adding the hashtag, “athlete.”
More Heartbreak Came For Jason Kelce And The Philadelphia Eagles
Jason Kelce joined the network’s “Monday Night Countdown” desk alongside host Scott Van Pelt and fellow analysts Marcus Spears and Ryan Clark.
He was with the broadcasting crew until late in the second half before he departed.
Unfortunately, we were not able to see his unhappiness as the Eagles would choke away a late fourth-quarter lead to the Falcons to drop to 1-1 on the season.
