Shedeur Sanders made headlines in a huge way on Saturday.
Sanders needed to make the perfect throw on the final play of regulation to give his team a chance to tie the game.
He did that as he delivered an epic 43-yard Hail Mary pass in the dying seconds of the fourth quarter to force overtime.
Shedeur Sanders would add to his game by leading his team to another touchdown in overtime to secure a hard-fought 38-31 victory.
After the game, the media asked Sanders where his resiliency came from.
The 22-year-old gave credit to his parents.
“You don’t have an option,” he said. “That comes from your parents, how you’s raised. You don’t have an option to fail. That’s a non-negotiable. When people say, ‘What’s your Plan B?’ No, it’s only football. That’s the only plan there is.”
Shedeur Sanders then added a personal revelation about his father and how he has not been given anything easy or free.
“I don’t have a trust fund,” Shedeur said. “Dad ain’t set me up good like that. But I’ll make sure I set up my kids with a trust fund and everything.”
