The Team USA women’s basketball team began their Paris Olympics journey with a commanding victory over Japan. This opening-game win was particularly significant for Kelsey Plum, part of the U.S. women’s 3×3 team that won gold at the Tokyo Games.

While Plum’s performance on the court was impressive, her hilarious pose during the game caught the most attention. After being hit and falling to the floor, which resulted in a foul on Japan’s Stephanie Mawuli, Plum quickly regained her composure. She sat on the floor and, with a big smile, flashed a peace sign with her fingers.

The USA women’s basketball team is trying to secure their eighth consecutive Olympic gold medal. This game against Japan was a rematch of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics final, where the USA triumphed. Team USA dominated Japan in this latest contest with a 102-76 victory.

A’ja Wilson led the team with 24 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocks. Kelsey Plum, who shared a bold belief in Wilson, contributed 11 points. The USA defeated Japan 90-75 in their previous encounter to claim their seventh consecutive gold medal.

Fans Reaction on Kelsey Plum’s Hilarious Pose

Without the USA’s dominance in Paris in the Olympic opener, fans were also thrilled by Kelsey Plum’s hilarious pose in front of the camera.

My queen,” one fan wrote.

“If she wasn’t so hot I would be annoyed by it,” another fan wrote.

She’s playing a game; she’s having fun,” a comment read.

Her pose delighted the fans so much that a fan was convinced to give it the title of “Picture of the Year.”

Some fans claimed that it’s not the first time Plum posed like that during the game. Rather, some fans wanted to claim it as her signature style.

This seems to be her thing,” one fan commented.

Plum’s hilarious pose and the USA’s strong start in Paris set a promising tone as the team aims to continue its Olympic success.

RUMOR: Dak Prescott Predicted To Leave Dallas Cowboys For Record-Setting Contract

Surprisingly, the Dallas Cowboys have yet to extend star quarterback Dak Prescott as the 2024 regular season inches closer.

The 31-year-old Dak Prescott is entering the last season of a four-year contract extension worth $160 million that he signed with Dallas in 2021. Prescott has all the leverage now after seeing fellow quarterbacks Tua Tagovailoa (Miami Dolphins) and Jordan Love (Green Bay Packers) sign extensions north of $200 million just last week.

Prescott’s deal with Dallas also contains no-tag and no-trade clauses, so the three-time Pro Bowler can hit free agency next summer if Jerry Jones doesn’t finalize an extension. And if that happens, Prescott will be the biggest name to enter the open market next year.

Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox predicted the future contracts for Prescott and San Francisco 49ers signal-caller Brock Purdy after the Tagovailoa and Love extensions. Knox projects that Prescott will leave Dallas and sign a four-year, $224 million deal in free agency:

“The Dallas Cowboys have botched pretty much every aspect of Prescott’s contract situation throughout this offseason. It began early, when franchise owner and team president Jerry Jones stated that he wanted to see more before handing out extensions to Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and Micah Parsons…

If Kirk Cousins, at 35 and coming off a torn Achilles, can get a four-year deal worth $45 million annually in free agency, Prescott can get considerably more. That reality might have Jones coming to grips with the fact that he’ll be looking for a new quarterback in 2025…

It’s starting to feel like a split between Dallas and Prescott is inevitable.”
