The Minnesota Timberwolves clawed back from a late deficit to edge out the Denver Nuggets 119-116, ending the Nuggets’ two-game win streak. The game wasn’t short on drama, as it saw a heated moment between Timberwolves’ center Rudy Gobert and Nuggets’ guard Christian Braun.
The altercation erupted with just over five minutes left in the game. The Nuggets were up 108-102 when Braun seized a moment, cutting into the lane for a thunderous two-handed dunk over Gobert. Braun celebrated in front of Gobert, but that didn’t sit well with the Timberwolves’ big man.
Gobert responded with a forceful shove, and both players were soon surrounded by teammates to de-escalate the tension. Later, officials handed out technical fouls to each player.

Rudy Gobert Reflects On Heated Moment With Christian Braun
After a thrilling game that saw the Timberwolves edge out the Nuggets 119-116, Rudy Gobert took time to address his heated exchange with Nuggets guard Christian Braun. He acknowledged Braun’s impressive move but admitted he was less thrilled with what came afterward.
“He dunked on me. That was incredible, but what happened after the dunk was what I didn’t like. But the dunk was great. It’s part of the game. There’s a lot of adrenaline. I respect him. It was a nice dunk,” Gobert said.
With this game behind them, both teams now look forward to their next matches. The Timberwolves are set to take on the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday, while the Nuggets will face off against the Utah Jazz.

Nick Bosa may have landed himself in hot water with the NFL following his actions after the San Francisco 49ers beat the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night.
The Niners enjoyed a 30-24 win over Dallas in the ‘SNF’ fixture. Quarterback Brock Purdy had a stellar game, completing 18 of 26 passing attempts for 260 yards and a touchdown while showing some surprising athleticism as a scrambler.
Bosa also had an impressive outing as he made life pretty difficult for the Cowboys offensive line, also making three tackles, a sack, and two QB hits.
After the game, he popped up behind Purdy while the QB was being interviewed and pointed to his “Make America Great Again” hat before running toward the locker room.
