One of France’s greatest hopes for this edition of the Paris Olympic Games is young phenom Victor Wembanyama, the youngster who just had his rookie season in the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs. For many, Wemby seems destined to become one of the greatest basketball players of all time and he just gave us a moment that made Michael Jordan even more iconic than he already was. The only difference is that for MJ, this moment didn’t come during an official game, it came during a movie. To be specific, that moment came during the ‘Space Jam‘ from the late ‘1990s. Wemby played the first Olympic match up against Brazil and led them to a victory.

Victor Wembanyama was the man of the match against Brazil with 19 points, 9 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 2 assists. But the most impressive moment from the youngster was when he recreated one of Michael Jordan’s most iconic moments from his entire career. Funny enough, that moment didn’t come during one of his official games. At actually came during the ‘Space Jam‘ movie and it’s something completely impossible to achieve. Or so we thought… It’s the moment Michael Jordan stretched his arm in an unnatural way to score a basket with multiple monstars guarding him. One of the most iconic scenes in animeted film history. Wemby just pulled off a similar play. Evenhis own teammates are already saying it.

After tha game, coach Vincent Collet said what everybody was already thinking: “This week, I would say three days before the game, I felt he was a little bit stressed. So we talked together and everybody around, teammates, rest of the staff, and we tried to help him. And I think he’s so mature, day by day he got better with that, and he just wanted to start. In France, everybody waits for him like, I don’t know which word to use, but everybody waits for him. You have the people who know basketball and they understand he’s only 20 years old. But people that like sports but don’t know basketball, they think Victor is already Michael Jordan. Take time, take time.”

NBA legend Karl Malone has again come under fire for his scandalous past following an online rumor claiming he has finally made peace with his son.
It’s been widely known that the former Utah Jazz star had a son with a 13-year-old while he was a fully grown adult, though he never dealt with any consequences.
Malone, now 60, had a son conceived with a 13-year-old Gloria Bell when he was 20. He refused to acknowledge or support him, only meeting him once before they agreed to work on their relationship in 2014.
The son, Demetress Bell, went by the name Demetrius until finding out it was actually spelled “Demetress” in 2012. He was also a basketball player and went to play for Northwestern State College on a scholarship but opted to focus on football, leading to a five-year career in the NFL.
