Angel Reese, the LSU basketball standout, has unexpectedly found herself tangled in the ongoing family tensions between Dennis Rodman and his daughter, Trinity Rodman. Known for her dominant double-doubles, Reese once shared a high-profile moment with the NBA Hall of Famer, which Trinity recently addressed in an emotional interview.
During a candid conversation on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Trinity Rodman opened up about her strained relationship with her father and how his larger-than-life presence has impacted her. Specifically, she recalled a viral moment from the 2024 WNBA season when Angel Reese donned Dennis Rodman’s iconic Detroit Pistons jersey ahead of a game, sparking widespread attention.
Is Angel Reese avoiding Chicago while living in luxury?
I’m not throwing shade at anybody,” Trinity clarified. “But I remember Angel Reese wore his jersey in one game, and there was a picture of them together. Seeing that as his daughter it’s like, no shade, but damn, I wish I had that kind of connection with him.
The soccer star, who helped lead the U.S. Women’s National Team to Olympic gold in Paris, expressed how moments like these highlight the emotional gap in her relationship with Dennis.
A complex father-daughter relationship
The interview delved deeper into Trinity’s complicated history with her father, whom she described as an “alcoholic” and often absent during her formative years. One particularly hurtful memory was Dennis Rodman’s surprise appearance at her playoff game in 2021, which she called “frustrating.”
Despite their fractured bond, Trinity has built an impressive career of her own. She’s become a pivotal player in the National Women’s Soccer League and a celebrated figure on the international stage.
Dennis Rodman’s public apology
In response to Trinity’s remarks, Dennis Rodman took to Instagram to issue a heartfelt apology. Acknowledging his shortcomings as a father, he wrote, “I’m sorry I wasn’t the dad you wanted me to be, but I’ve always tried. I’m still here, hoping for a chance to make things right.”

As Trinity continues to carve out her legacy, moments like her reflections on Angel Reese and her father remind us of the complexities behind even the brightest public personas.
Paige Bueckers struggles to ’emulate’ Caitlin Clark NCAA legacy
Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes will retire her iconic 22 jersey for a hefty price

Caitlin Clark will have her Iowa Hawkeyes jersey retired less than a year after she smashed the NCAA points record for women and men, and tickets are so expensive they command a fee that not even the UConn Huskies’ Paige Bueckers can match.
Bueckers has been tipped to inherit the power vacuum left by the Indiana Fever’s icon after she graduated to the WNBA, eventually becoming the Rookie of the Year and later Time’s Athlete of the Year.
However, even she can’t compete with the legacy of the 22-year-old Clark after tickets begin retailing at $446 to watch her number 22 jersey retired on February 2, 2025 at the Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Some are even reselling at an insane $2,243.
“All 15,000 season tickets have sold out for the second consecutive season,” Chad Withrow said to HotMic with Hutton & Withrow of Clark’s Hawkeyes legacy. “Sold out. That means you got to increase that price.”
Meanwhile, Bueckers is struggling to match the same hype despite putting up 20.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and four assists per game in her senior year in the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball league.
The upcoming Huskies’ game against the Hawkeyes, on January 22, has tickets currently retailing at $43, which is over 100 times cheaper than what Iowa are asking for when they take on the USC Trojans at Clark’s ceremony.
Who do the UConn Huskies play next?
The UConn Huskies are next in action against the USC Trojans, who they will welcome to the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut on Saturday, December 21 with tip-off expected from 20:00 ET/17:00 PT.
