Ben Affleck ‘was “temporarily insane” when he wed Jennifer Lopez’

Ben Affleck is reportedly pushing to divorce Jennifer Lopez, after branding the union a ‘fever dream’.

Amid swirling split rumours, PageSix has claimed Affleck, 51, is ready to call an end to his two-year marriage, going as far to claim the decision to tie the knot was down to ‘temporary insanity’.

 

A source told the site that the Oscar-winning Argo star has ‘come to his senses’ after previously being so in love with the 54-year-old Atlas actress that he could not think straight.

While he has been spotted spending quality alone time with Lopez in recent days, he now feels his head is ‘clear’ and he can move on.

‘If there was a way to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity, he would,’ the PageSix source said.

The two have also been looking at new homes, it was claimed, after they bought a $60M mansion together last year, though a source told PageSix that Lopez’s is only for ‘investment purposes.’

Fans started to notice that something might be wrong with the power couple after they had not been photographed together in almost two months.

However, the pair had busy careers: he was filming The Accountant in Los Angeles and she was working on co-chairing the Met Gala in New York City.

Headlines that they were on the rocks made the rounds.

But then suddenly Lopez was seen smiling at her husband when his child Seraphina was giving a performance in her school play last week. Ben did not look as enthused.

They were seen out together again over the weekend as he drove toward a garage by Soho House in Los Angeles.

This time they were smiling and seemed more in sync. Both have been wearing their wedding rings.

They got back together in 2021, and eloped in Las Vegas in July 2022 before having a big ceremony later in Georgia.

The People source was more optimistic than the Page Six source saying they will stick it out.
