Ben Affleck seems to have found support in his ex-wife Jennifer Garner as a source has said she “wants the best” for the actor.

Ben has been making headlines recently with rumours he is heading for a divorce from his current wife Jennifer Lopez. The 51-year-old fuelled the speculation when he was spotted attending his daughter’s graduation party alone.

A source has revealed Jennifer “wants him happy and healthy so he can be the best dad possible.” The former couple share three children together – Violet Affleck, Fin Affleck and Samuel Affleck.

Speaking to People Magazine, the source added Jennifer “likes that [Lopez] lives a healthy lifestyle and supports Ben’s sobriety. Jen wants that for Ben.” The comments come after Ben was seen looking sombre on an outing without his wife.

Ben was seen attending his 18-year-old daughter Violet’s high school graduation party alone over the weekend. He had a deadpan expression as he walked down a street by himself carrying a drink.

His solo appearance comes following increasing speculation he’s split from J-Lo. Ben is believed to have moved out of the family home and a source has said the Gone Girl actor would welcome a divorce from J-Lo, saying: “If there was a way to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity, he would.”

Speaking to Page Six, the source added: “He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream, and he’s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work.”

The speculation started with claims Ben has “moved out” of the family home. A source told InTouch magazine: “The writing is on the wall – it’s over. They’re headed for a divorce – and for once, [Ben’s] not to blame! They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her. There’s no way it could have lasted.”

J-Lo is also said to have banned all questions relating to her marriage as she promotes her latest Netflix project. A source told TMZ Netflix alerted all the media outlets that “no Ben Affleck and no personal queries were allowed.”
