LeBron James is one of the best basketball players ever and his dominance on the court is almost second to none: he has won four NBA championships with three different teams: Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers.
He has made eight consecutive appearances to the NBA finals (10 in total) between 2011 and 2018. He’s won three Olympic gold medals as a member of the United States national team, with an Olympics MVP in the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.

James has been selected to the All-Star game 20 tienes and is the NBA player with the most points scored ever. The “King” also has the record for most consecutive games scoring and most minutes played in the league. Without a doubt, to many fans and analysts, LeBron is the Greatest Of All Time (sorry, Michael Jordan’s fans).
However, all this load on his body has made him aware that Father Time is undefeated. He recently missed two games during a nine-day span(against the Minnesota Timberwolves and against the Portland Trail Blazers) due to discomfort in his left foot.
What was he doing during his time off? Shooting baskets, as we can see in footage from a security camera in LeBron’s 13,000-square-foot Beverly Hills mansion, where he has a full NBA court. On the video we see James bouncing a ball around while wearing red shorts, a red T-shirt and red footwear.
LeBron and the Lakers face criticalseason
One of the main challenges for LeBron and the Lakers right now is how the NBA superstar, the team and head coach J.J. Redick have struggled and doesn’t seem to be headed in the right direction.
The rookie coach seems to have been outplayed by the great franchise. So far, Redick hasn’t proven to be an upgrade at the head coaching position over Darvin Ham. A franchise in the spotlight like the Lakers needs immediate positive results, so it’s very likely they’ll be one of the most active teams at the trade deadline.
This is especially critical considering LeBron’s age. While he’s not expected to retire this season, it’s plausible that he could hang up his jersey after next season, as Father Time spares no one, and LeBron is nearly 40 years old.
Why not retire this year? Well, it’s LeBron James, and there’s no way he’s going out without a farewell tour, much like Kobe Bryant did. It’s impossible to imagine LeBron – one of the all-time greats, if not the greatest – bowing out without a grand farewell.

While there are still plenty of games left in the season, with the most important stretch coming in March and April, the current state of the Lakers is concerning. On the court, it’s 5-on-5, but for the Lakers, it often feels like 2-on-5, with LeBron and Anthony Davis carrying the load against the opposition.
With the Western Conference as competitive as ever, filled with deep and well-rounded teams, the Lakers are unlikely to go far without significant improvement. Here’s what Redick had to say about LeBron’s absence:
Caitlin Clark’s jersey retirement sparks outrage as tickets reach insane prices
Tickets are going for eye-popping numbers
Indiana Fever’s Caitlin ClarkLAPRESSE
Caitlin Clark is set to receive a prestigious honor from the Iowa Hawkeyes on February 2, 2025 when the university will raise her number to the rafters and retire it.
The occasion will certainly be a memorable one for all those in attendance, as well as Clark, who averaged 31.6 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 8.9 assists per game in her senior season with the team.
She also became the NCAA’s all-time leader scorer in both the men’s and women’s divisions, showing just how profound her impact was on the sport during her time in Iowa.
However, with Clark’s number now set to join the likes of Megan Gustafson and Michelle Edwards in the rafters, ticket prices for the occasion have fans scratching their heads.
How much are tickets going for?
The game will see Iowa take on the USC Trojans, and to the surprise of nobody, there is already a huge demand for tickets.
As a result of that demand prices are hitting all-time highs, with the cheapest ticket on TickPick listed at a stunning $711. That is a huge increase on the previous lowest price, which was $283.
The figures have some fans wondering how it’s possible, and if the game should be moved to accommodate a bigger live audience.
“I would have had it in the football stadium & probably cashed out even more,” one fan wrote.
“Iowa that’s nasty work,” wrote another, who clearly isn’t a fan of the big price jump.
Another added: “Even with as good as Caitlin Clark, I still can’t bring myself to watch the WNBA.”
