Joe Burrow continues to do remarkable things despite his team’s rough 2024 season.
The Cincinnati Bengals were taking on the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, and their quarterback did something incredible to cap an eight-play, 99-yard drive.
With the score tied 0-0 in the first quarter, the Bengals had a first-and-goal from the 2-yard line as Burrow dropped back to pass but couldn’t find anyone open initially.
Once he started scrambling, he tripped and somehow spotted Tee Higgins open in the end zone.
While falling to the ground, Burrow finished his throw and release as the bottom half of his body was lying on the turf.
From a different angle, you can see Burrow was tripped by his own offensive lineman, as no Browns player got a hand on him. That means he was never down, and the play was legal.
A still shot from that play showed that Burrow looked even crazier as his own shadow began to look like the popular Muppets character, Kermit The Frog.
“What in the Kermit the Frog is Joe Burrow’s shadow 👀🤔,” one fan said.
“Why does Joe Burrow’s shadow look like Kermit the Frog 😂😭,” another fan pointed out.
A third fan pointed out: “This man Kermit The Frog did the shadow possession jutsu to Joe Burrow mid-game to help him score a touchdown.”
“Is that Kermit sipping tea in Joe Burrow’s shadow??” a hilarious NFL fan added.
Burrow’s 252 yards and three scores were enough to get Cincinnati a 24-6 win against Cleveland.
Joe Burrow Can Stlll Lead Bengals To The Postseason
The Cincinnati Bengals did what they needed to do against the Cleveland Browns in Week 16 in order to keep their slim playoff hopes alive.
Burrow has the team with a 7-8 record. The Bengals have two games remaining on their regular season schedule.
The team does not control its destiny. The team needs to win out and also needs the Broncos to lose both of their remaining contests.
Everyone Had The Same Complaint About FOX Announcer’s Ridiculous Comment During Eagles-Commanders Game
Football fans had the same annoying complaint about FOX Sports play-by-play commentator Joe Davis in the Washington Commanders’ thrilling 36-33 home win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
Joe Davis and Greg Olsen were on the call for a Game of the Year candidate inside Northwest Sadium. With just six seconds remaining, Jayden Daniels threw the game-winning touchdown strike to Jamison Crowder.
The three-point victory ended Philly’s 10-game winning streak and clinched Washington (10-5) their first season of double-digit victories since 2012. Moments after Daniels found Crowder, Davis screamed the word, “Preposterous”.
Fans, however, weren’t exactly thrilled with Davis’ performance in the broadcast booth. Some thought “preposterous” was the wrong word, since Eagles backup QB Kenny Pickett played most of the game with Jalen Hurts concussed:
“The worst part about watching today’s loss was having to listen to the commentators Greg Olsen and Joe Davis for 3 straight hours,” one fan wrote.
