Tank Dell appeared to suffer a severe left knee injury and was carted off the field after catching a touchdown pass against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Dell caught a 30-yard pass from quarterback C.J. Stroud in the back of the end zone, but he would collide with teammate Jared Wayne and Chiefs cornerback Trent McDuffie.

The awkward collision had Dell immediately pointing to his knee and waving team trainers over.

The situation visibly shook Stroud and other Texan teammates.

Hours later and, we are now receiving an update on his condition.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that Tank Dell suffered a dislocated knee cap.

Surgery is possible, but it hasn’t happened yet.

Dell’s left leg was mobilized in a brace as he was placed on a stretcher and taken off the field in a covered medical cart. He was reportedly taken to an area hospital by ambulance.

After the game, head coach DeMeco Ryans told reporters that Dell would stay overnight at a local hospital with the “significant” injury.

It is almost a foregone conclusion that his 2024 season is over.
