Social media is stunned over the Phoenix Suns’ new concession prices that were released by owner Mat Ishbia on X/Twitter.
On Wednesday morning, Ishbia announced that the Phoenix Suns were drastically reducing their concession prices to make game experiences more affordable for families. Hot dogs, 16oz water bottles, 16oz fountain soda, bags of chips and bags of popcorn will now each cost just $2 for every Suns home game.
Each of these items was previously in the $6.50 to $9 range, with hot dogs alone costing $9. In a follow-up post on X, Ishbia wrote, “Our fans and community are the foundation of what we do and we will continue to invest in making this the best organization in all of basketball, on and off the court.”
Ishbia and the Phoenix Suns received plenty of props from fans on social media for their selfless and kindhearted gesture:
“Cannot express how awesome this is. Mat, can you please encourage other owners to do the same? Let sports be affordable again. Let families go to games and not break the bank,” one fan wrote.
“Hello sir please purchase the Minnesota Twins the entire state is begging you,” another requested.
“Great play, Mat. I hope all teams take note. Nice job making games more accessible for all fans. Very classy move,” said a fan.
“I use to do this in franchise mode thinking all the make believe fans would love me,” said a fan.
“Best valley sports owner and it’s not close,” wrote another.
“Not an NBA fan but these prices could get me out to a game. Buying food for kids and tickets and everything adds up fast,” claimed a fan.
“Wish you could’ve bought the Pistons,” said another.
And to make matters better for Phoenix Suns fans? They actually have a championship-caliber team led by Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. So it’s not like the Suns are just lowering prices in hopes of getting fans to buy dirt-cheap tickets to watch a sad product.
Phoenix Suns Continue Their Homestand On Thursday
Durant and the Suns will look to extend their win streak to three when they host the Indiana Pacers on Thursday, the third contest of a four-game homestand. It concludes with a tilt against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday, with Phoenix then visiting the Denver Nuggets on Monday.
VIDEO: Bills Linebacker Taron Johnson Accuses Lions Players Of Inappropriately Touching Him & Putting Their Fingers In Private Places During Crucial Onside Kick Recovery
Buffalo Bills linebacker Taron Johnson has accused the Detroit Lions of some lewd behavior following their massive win against the NFC outfit on Sunday.
The Lions have raised plenty of questions, with Dan Campbell making the perplexing decision to attempt an onside kick with 12 minutes left in the game. It was one of two onside kick attempts from the Lions that were unsuccessful, but that wasn’t due to a lack of effort, according to Johnson.
While talking about Detroit’s second unsuccessful onside kick attempt with just a few seconds remaining on the clock, Johnson exposed Campbell’s team for their dirty tactics.
“[They did] whole lotta pulling, a whole lotta pinching,” he told reporters after the game, “putting fingers where they not supposed to be and all that stuff.
