Travis Hunter has been in the news for many negative reasons this week. But it’s hardly a secret that he’s a great kid, so there had to be some good stuff coming out of somewhere.
Hunter, now the 90th Heisman Trophy winner, is one of the most popular players in college sports, yet he is as humble as they come and is just as generous.
According to Deion Sanders Jr., the star defensive back pays 10-15 NIL salaries at Colorado out of his own pocket and doesn’t take any money from the collective.
“You know he receives no NIL money from the collective?” Sanders Jr. revealed during an appearance on the ‘Zero 2 Sixty’ podcast. “And you know he’s one of the biggest donors to the collective? Meaning he’s paying a lot of other players’ NIL on this team… He’s paying at least 10-15 guys on the team. That’s his own money.”
Travis Hunter Has Been An Incredible Teammate
Sanders Jr., also known as “Bucky,” noted that Hunter has been living off his endorsement deals, with Adidas now a partner, instead of taking cash from the program’s collective.
As if that wasn’t great enough, he’s actually donating to it.
Stay Classy, Travis Hunter.
Taylor Rooks To Become Lead Host Of Amazon’s NBA Coverage, Fans Recall Wildest Quotes From NBA Stars In Front Of Her
Taylor Rooks has been named the lead host of the NBA pregame show. According to recent reports from Richard Deitsch of The Athletic, the 32-year-old sports broadcaster will be in charge of the pre-game, halftime, and post-game shows. However, this is no surprise, as Rooks is already heavily involved with the NBA and Amazon. Currently, she is working on the sidelines as a reporter for the NBA on TNT.
Apart from that, Rooks is also part of Prime’s coverage of Thursday Night Football. Additionally, Amazon is looking to have strengthened its squad reasonably well. They have also announced the familiar voice of the Brooklyn Nets’ Ian Eagle as the lead play-by-play announcer for the next season. And that is not all.
In what was a pleasant surprise for the fans, rumor has it that Mavericks’ Dirk Nowitzki might join the team as an analyst. Thus, the Amazon lineup for the next season looks quite packed. Meanwhile, the fans cannot help but recall some of the NBA stars’ hilarious quotes in front of Taylor Rooks.
