Team USA’s women’s 4×100-meter squad has cruised to tomorrow night’s final after winning their heat well ahead of the rest of the field.

The squad, consisting of Melissa Jefferson, Twanisha Terry, Sha’Carri Richardson and Gabby Thomas, ran in 41.94 seconds, well ahead of Germany and Switzerland who also qualified for the final.

The U.S. and Jamaica have dominated this event for the last 15 years, combining to win every world and Olympic title between them since 2009. Jamaica was in the second of the two heats, and came home in third in a time of 42.35 seconds with Great Britain, another medal contender, winning in a time of 42.03 seconds.
