Regarding interviews, NBA players are typically well-versed in sharing their thoughts during pregame and postgame discussions. However, New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby appeared noticeably uneasy navigating this familiar territory.
On Monday, following a 139-125 victory over his former team, the Toronto Raptors, at Madison Square Garden, Anunoby’s postgame interview took a humorous turn. When asked about his emotions after the win, he candidly expressed his feelings but unintentionally sparked a playful debate by repeatedly grabbing the microphone during the conversation.
Even his teammate, Karl-Anthony Towns, couldn’t resist poking fun, saying “Stop grabbing the mic.”
The reporter joined in on the fun, teasing Anunoby by promising a solution.
“Next time, we’re going to get you your own mic, I promise,” the reporter quipped.

Toward the end of the interview, the reporter encouraged him again, this time offering a humorous concession.
“You can gladly take it from me. It’s your mic—it has your name on it,” the reporter said.
Anunoby’s teammates, including Cameron Payne and Josh Hart, cheered him on to embrace the mic once more. But clearly feeling self-conscious, Anunoby refrained from doing it again.
Fans were thoroughly entertained by the lighthearted saga. Many couldn’t help but laugh at the situation, while others humorously commented on their relief that Anunoby managed to hold back by the interview’s end.
