Minnesota Timberwolves’ star Anthony Edwards is well-known for his confident remarks and exceptional athleticism. His close-knit circle of friends, who have immense faith in his abilities on the court, mirrored this bold attitude.

Recently, Edwards’ friend Nick Maddox showcased this confidence during an interview. When asked who could stop Edwards, the interviewer suggested several prominent players, starting with Nikola Jokic. The friend’s immediate response was a resolute “Hell no.”

The interviewer continued to list other notable names, including Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Rudy Fernandez, Josh Giddey, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, and Nicolas Batum. Each time, Edwards’ friend confidently asserted that Anthony Edwards has superior athleticism over all of these players.

Edwards loves to brag about his athleticism. He even declared him the No.1 option of Team USA during a July training camp. “I’m still the No. 1 option. Y’all might look at it differently, but I don’t,” he said.

Anthony Edwards Teams Up with Idol Kevin Durant in Olympic Victory

Team USA men’s basketball kicked off their Paris Olympics opener against Nikola Jokic’s team, Serbia. The star-studded roster, including 12 NBA stars, had a great start, winning their first by defeating Serbia 110-84 on Sunday.

The game led Anthony Edwards to play with his idol Kevin Durant for the first time in the Olympics because Durant missed tune-up games for a calf injury.

Durant had a wonderful game coming from the injury, scoring 21 points in the win. After having a chance to play with his idol, Edwards scored 11 points in 19 minutes coming off the bench.

Team USA men’s basketball will now face South Sudan on July 31 at 3 p.m. ET in the ongoing Paris Olympics. It will be interesting to see how they perform in the upcoming games
