Beyoncé came for Netflix on social media in a cheeky promo video, playfully trolling the streaming service ahead of her highly anticipated Christmas Day halftime performance.
The performance will be streamed live at NRG stadium during halftime of the Houston Texans vs Baltimore Ravens game, with some NFL players willing to risk it all just to catch a glimpse of the pop diva.
Bey poked fun at the streaming service‘s past glitches during live streams, and fans were living for it. Netflix took the jab in stride, changing their X bio to “roasted by beyoncé 12.24.24.”
On Christmas Eve, Beyoncé posted a cheeky promo video for the upcoming performance on social media with the caption: “I’m sending you big joy and love on this Cowboy Christmas Eve. I’ll see y’all tomorrow, in my city HTX.”

In the video, she can be seen wearing a large brimmed black hat, gloves, and sunglasses as she strums her Grammy-nominated hit “Texas Hold ‘Em” on a banjo. She removes her sunglasses as the camera zooms into her face, only for that pesky red buffering circle to pop up. After a few seconds of silent “buffering,” she giggles and then winks at the camera.
The halftime show will mark her first time taking the stage since the 2023 Renaissance tour as well as the first live performances of music from her March 2024 album Cowboy Carter.
The 32 time Grammy-winner was referencing past Netflix live streams like the Love is Blind season 4 reunion and the November 15 fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson that experienced technical difficulties.
Netflix seemed to be in on the joke, playfully replying “now hold on…,” and changing their bio on X, formerly Twitter.
