Not Blackbeard but Eiichiro Oda gave Uta’s Devil fruit Uta Uta no Mi the upper hand which can prove fatal against Luffy’s abilities in One Piece.
SUMMARY
One Piece has some of the most impressive Devil Fruit abilities ranging from Akainu to Blackbeard.
Uta’s Devil Fruit reigns supreme in more ways than one.
Luffy’s power-up in the Elbaf Arc would be nothing short of legendary.
When it comes to the strongest devil fruits, one may assume Luffy’s Hito Hito no Mi to be unparalleled. However, that isn’t the case, especially with the plot progression as Eiichiro Oda toppled the hierarchy of strength in his series, yet again.
From Akainu to Blackbeard, the characters and their devil fruit abilities stand unmatched. And while the Straw Hat captain’s strength is deemed undisputed, it seems like he might have found his nemesis.

Not Imu or Blackbeard, but Uta stands out in terms of her unique ability. It is so broken that it might be on par with other devil fruit users. But most importantly, her abilities are god-tier in terms of their formidability.
Uta’s Devil Fruit ability stands unmatched in One Piece
Uta is one of the strongest characters and the adoptive daughter of the Red-Haired Yonko Shanks. Abandoned by Shanks, she finds her way to her stardom. However, it’s her hate for Pirates along with her musical abilities that makes her stand out.
While she is portrayed as an antagonist, her character is rather fleshed-out and layered. Her story is that of empathy, compassion, and camaraderie which ties well with the core themes of the anime.

Uta makes her appearance in the film One Piece Film: Red as the main antagonist. Her time in Elegia outlined her brilliance as a musician because of her outstanding abilities. And while she was hailed as a prodigy, her strength proved lethal for the inhabitants of the island.
Her devil fruit is considered to be one of the most lethal powers in the series. To be able to carve an alternate universe of virtual reality is god-tier in every possible aspect. Her ability is so broken that it might be on par with the Straw Hat Captain.
Apart from her virtual dimension, Uta can summon the demon Tot Musica through her abilities. The creature’s existence itself is detrimental as evident with the destruction of Elegia. Her control over the demon is crucial in understanding the lethality of her powers.
By and by, the Strawhat isn’t too far behind with his power-ups. Be it Gear-5 or Haki, he is leveling up for the final saga. This is especially true with the ongoing Elbaf Arc.
Eiichiro Oda is set to level up Luffy in the final saga
When Gear 5 premiered, it garnered an array of reactions including Luffy’s goofiness to his old-man phase. After the traumatic and gut-wrenching events at the Marineford Arc, he surpassed himself in terms of his brilliance.
His feats in Wano were nothing short of legendary. From his iconic fight against Kaido to his epic showdown with Lucci, his strength is unprecedented. This holds especially true with his mastery of all three forms of Haki.

Currently, the manga is in its final saga. With the unfolding of events and chaos in Elbaf, it isn’t long before Eiichiro Oda gives the character his much-needed power-up. With the likes of Imu and Gorosei, his power-up would be nothing short of iconic.
To be able to counter the World Government and its tyranny, Oda would need to level up the hero in every aspect. This also has to do with granting the character a broken ability that can counter Imu in every possible way.
While Uta reigns supreme through her musical devil-fruit, her abilities too have weaknesses. This holds especially with Luffy’s immunity to it. Considering his knack for sleeping, her abilities probably won’t be as effective as it should be.
