Kendrick Lamar has been issued an ominous warning from NFL fans after Beyonce turned in what many are calling the best halftime show of the season on Christmas Day
Kendrick Lamar has been given a tough act to follow after Beyonce’s Christmas Day performance received due praise from NFL fans.
To begin the show – which marked her first live performance of the album ‘Cowboy Carter’ – Beyonce performed “16 Carriages” while riding on the back of a white horse in the stadium concourse. She seamlessly transitioned into a rendition of the Beatles’ hit song “Blackbird” before emerging at field level to a chorus of cheers.
During the star-studded concert, Beyonce was joined by Shaboozey to sing “Sweet Honey Buckiin,” as well as Post Malone for “Levii’s Jeans.” The trio subsequently joined forces for “Cowboy Carter.”
Moments later, Beyonce’s daughter, Blue Ivy, stole the show while dancing on stage. The 12-year-old eventually accompanied her mother front and center, where the pair held hands and belted out the words to “Texas Hold ‘Em.”
Taking to social media, droves of viewers applauded Beyonce for the incredible concert – insisting that it will be difficult for Kendrick to turn in a better performance during the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

“@Beyonce just had the best Super Bowl show ever, and the Super Bowl isn’t until February 9th. Kendrick Lamar got no shot to win this battle,” one X user wrote, with another adding: “So Beyoncé just did the best Half Time Show of the season and wasn’t in the Superbowl. Feeling bad for Kendrick Lamar rn.”
A third chimed in, “Beyoncé just set the bar with that Christmas Day halftime performance—your move, Kendrick. Gotta bring it up a notch for the Super Bowl after that.”
Others rushed to the defense of Kendrick, expressing confidence that the rapper will pull off an equally great show. “Beyonce & Kendrick are about to change the way we view halftime shows the way Michael Jackson did,” someone said.
Another person declared, “I’m so hyped from this Beyonce performance I can only imagine how crazy Kendrick is about to go with his Super Bowl halftime show. 6 more weeks!”
Kendrick and Beyonce are no strangers to performing at the Super Bowl, having each already graced the stage during the Big Game. The former accompanied Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Mary J. Blige at Super Bowl LVI in 2022, while the latter headlined Super Bowl XLVII in 2013 and joined Bruno Mars at Super Bowl 50 in 2016.
Addressing his upcoming performance in February, Kendrick said in an official statement: “Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one.”
