In a shocking reveal a few months ago, it was announced that the One Piece anime would be going on a hiatus. Specifically, it was stated the anime would be on a 6 month long hiatus. That all started on October 27, 2024. Since then, it has already been a few months, and fans were not provided with a return date until recently. This changed with Jump Festa 2025, where One Piece had its own stage, as usual, and had quite a lot of exciting projects being announced.

For the time being, fans of One Piece can enjoy the remastering of the Fishman Island arc, as it’s currently being broadcast instead of the anime.

One Piece is a beloved anime that has been going strong for decades, with little to no hiatuses. However, this new change has likely altered how the anime runs forever. Not only did the broadcasting time for the anime change, but it is possible that the release schedule of the upcoming arcs has completely changed as well. This is a huge change for all One Piece anime fans, but could be a welcomed change depending on how it affects everything.
