In this series, Newsweek is recapping every show Taylor Swift has performed on the Eras Tour, city by city.

Swift nearly had a stage crasher as the little girl given her “22” hat tried to climb onto the stage with her in Germany.

During Swift’s Eras Tour, it has become a tradition for her to pick one fan out of the crowd and hand them the black fedora she wears as she sings “22.” The special moment usually sees her crouching down, chatting to and hugging the lucky recipient at the end of the runway, and it has become a much-loved part of the performance.

On July 24, 2024, Swift was on stage in Hamburg and selected a little girl in a blue sparkly dress who was clearly overwhelmed to be talking to the star. They exchanged a few words and hugged, with Swift popping the coveted hat on her head before dancing away.

However, footage that later went viral showed the child then starting to clamber onto the stage before being pulled back by someone.

A clip of the sweet moment was posted on X, formerly Twitter, and has since clocked up 290,000 views.

“22 haaat adorable moment I get it,” wrote the X user who uploaded the video. “I’d do it too. I would run after Taylor too, adorable.”

Fans were charmed by the moment and the girl’s fellow Swifties joked that they too might have tried to follow the “Bad Blood” singer onto the stage if they had been in her position.

“We’d all do it too lmao,” one posted, with another commented: “I’d get onto that stage too!!!! Adorable!”

A third wrote: “She is very me,” while a fourth added “OMG adorable so sweet.”

Swift performed two dates in Hamburg, playing to over 100,000 fans at the Volksparkstadion. It was the second of her tour stops in Germany as she had already played a trio of shows in Gelsenkirchen. After Hamburg, her tour traveled to Munich for two shows at the Olympiastadion in Olympic Park.
