Chapter 1126 of One Piece marks the beginning of the Elbaf Arc by mysteriously splitting up the Straw Hat crew.
Fans of the One Piece manga have been waiting for the Elbaf arc for nearly two decades. After all this waiting, expectations from the fans are extremely high.
However, One Piece seems ready to meet the readers’ expectations, starting the new arc with shocking details.
After the devastating encounter with the Gorosei and the sacrifice of the giant robot Emeth, the Straw Hat crew leaves Egghead Island with Bonney, Lilith, and the giants. One group is aboard the Thousand Sunny, while the other is on the giants’ ship.
Two days after the Egghead incident, the Thousand Sunny, carrying Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, and Chopper, suddenly disappeared into thin air. The remaining crew on the Elbaf ship were shocked by this event.
Like them, we also don’t know what happened to Luffy’s group or why they suddenly vanished.
However, by the end of the chapter, we get a small update on the separation. It turns out that Nami somehow got separated from the other five and woke up in a strange room. The room looked like it was made of Lego. But that wasn’t the only strange thing – Nami was wearing a different outfit, similar to that of a Viking (often worn by the natives of Elbaf), and she had a sword on her back.
One Piece Chapter 1126 ends here, so we don’t know what happened next or how Nami ended up in that room. Perhaps the next chapter will answer this question.
In addition to the Straw Hat crew’s separation, Chapter 1126 also reveals Luffy’s most loyal ally and the true nature of the Red-Haired Pirates. In the encounter between the Red-Haired Pirates and Barto Club, Shanks’ crew emerged victorious, but they have a dark plan for their defeated foes.
The crew of the Yonko gave the Barto Club a powerful poison and ordered them to make Luffy drink it within a month. However, instead of doing that to his idol, Bartolomeo drank the poison himself, choosing to sacrifice his life to protect Luffy.
Of course, the poison bottle was a fake; it was just a test of Bartolomeo’s loyalty to Luffy set up by Shanks.
Just when it seemed like that was the end, it turns out Bartolomeo and his crew still had to face a terrible fate. When Bartolomeo’s crew tried to escape quickly on the Going Luffy-senpai, Yasopp shot at them, causing the ship to explode on the sea. The narrator says, “Near the shores of Gartel Island… The ship of Bartolomeo’s pirate crew has sunk… Their fate remains unclear…”
Additionally, we get confirmation about Garp’s fate, as it is revealed that he is still alive but imprisoned at Hachinosu.
