Elon Musk has been the richest man in the world since May 2024, and his net worth is a staggering $330.1 billion – but he’s not the only multi-billionaire on the list
Forbes has unveiled the current top ten wealthiest individuals globally, and there might be a few names that you’re not familiar with.
Despite his net worth dropping by nearly £5 billion in the past month, Elon Musk has held the title of the world’s richest man since May 2024 when he regained the top spot.
As of November this year, Forbes reports that the Tesla CEO’s net worth is an astounding $330.1 billion (around £260 million). He was also crowned the world’s richest person in September 2021 and June 2023 before reclaiming the title in May after briefly falling to second place at the start of the year.

Predictably, Amazon’s chairman, Jeff Bezos, and Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, are third and fourth on the list, respectively. However, some lesser-known names have made the cut.
Coming in at number ten is Amancio Ortega, who, along with his ex-wife, Rosalia Mera, founded Inditex, the Spanish multinational clothing company known for fast fashion brands like Zara, Berskha, and Stradivarius. With more than 7,200 stores worldwide, Inditex is the largest fast fashion group globally.
Mr. Ortega boasts a net worth of $123.8 billion (approximately £97 billion) and ranked 13th on the World Billionaires list in 2023 and 2024. A surge in Inditex shares in September catapulted him back into the top ten, reports the Express.
Warren Buffett, one of the most successful investors in history, is currently ranked sixth on the list of the world’s wealthiest individuals. With a net worth of $150.6 billion (£118 billion), he owns Berkshire Hathaway, an American conglomerate that has stakes in numerous companies, including Duracell.
However, it’s not just men who dominate the top ten. Alice Walton, daughter of Walmart founder Sam Walton, ranks as the 17th richest person globally and the wealthiest woman.
She and her brothers inherited shares in the company, bringing her estimated net worth to a staggering $101.9 billion (£80 billion). The top ten are:
Larry Ellison
Jeff Bezos
Mark Zuckerberg
Bernard Arnault
Warren Buffett
Larry Page
Sergey Brin
Steve Ballmer
