Angel Reese had a curious reaction after Caitlin Clark helped the Indiana Fever to a win over the Atlanta Dream on Monday night.

The Fever snatched an 84-79 victory and managed to hold on in the fourth quarter, having gotten outscored 20-14, with Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, and Aliyah Boston spurring the offense on the night.

Mitchell scored a game-high 29 points, shooting 10-of-23 from the field and 3-of-10 from three. Clark added 19 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists in a historic performance, while Boston chipped in with a double-double 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The win was a timely one for Indiana, given their previous loss to the Minnesota Lynx. It keeps their playoff hopes alive at 14-16, as they’re still in seventh place in the Eastern Conference.

It also worked out well for Reese as the Chicago Sky moved ahead of Atlanta by one game, having previously led by 0.5 games in the eighth spot in the conference. Of course, they’re still 3.5 games behind the Fever.

Angel Reese Took To Social Media After Indiana’s Win

Reese got on X/Twitter right after Monday night’s game to post a video of herself dancing courtside but did not caption it.

There’s every chance of this being random, but no one’s going to believe that.

It’s more likely that she was celebrating the Dream losing, considering the playoff implications. She could also be signaling some intent with Chicago’s next clash against Caitlin Clark and the Fever in mind.

The WNBA’s most attractive game isn’t far off and is scheduled for this Friday.

Angel Reese, the standout player for the Chicago Sky, quickly became more popular after her debut in the WNBA. The 22-year-old, who was selected as the seventh overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft by the Sky, has entertained her fans with her stellar skills on the court in both her college and professional career.

However, Reese, a long-time rival of Indiana Fever star player Caitlin Clark, has decided to explore other aspects of her career. Recently, the Sky forward surprised her fans by announcing her upcoming podcast, “Unapologetically Angel.” The podcast episodes will be released every Thursday, co-hosted by Maya Reese, an Emmy Award-winning producer and co-host at Playmaker.

Secrets out. still freaking out. @angelreese5, are you ready?! @unapologeticallyshow,” she captioned an Instagram post hyping up the podcast.” Maya Reese, Producer and Co-host of the podcast, wrote in her latest post on Instagram.

Reese had an outstanding college career playing for LSU. She delivered remarkable performances on the court, especially during the 2022-23 season, when she averaged 23 points, 2.3 assists, and 15.4 rebounds per game. However, her statistics after her WNBA debut were not as impressive. Currently, she is averaging 13.5 points, 1.8 assists, and 11.9 rebounds per game for the Sky.

Fans Started Cracking Jokes About Reese’s Upcoming Podcast

After their favorite player made a surprising move, many fans were thrilled, while others found the name of the podcast hilarious. Some fans began making jokes about Reese’s podcast in the comments section of the post on X (formerly known as Twitter).

One fan poked fun at Reese’s podcast and said, “Is the Podcast title “Brick by Brick”?

Meanwhile, another fan reacted, “Love when players have their own podcast and shit, but as a rookie, I’d just keep my head down and keep working on my game but get your money, I guess.”

Another fan said, “The Caitlin Clark episode would be the most viral sports podcast to ever drop.”

Another fan commented, “Guessing it will be called “It’s not all because of Caitlin” or “Me, myself & I”
