Following JD Vance’s epic rebuttal to a hostile question from an MSNBC reporter, conservative users on social media praised the Republican vice presidential candidate for his handling of the situation.  Over the past couple of months, the Ohio Republican senator has exploded in popularity among conservatives for his ability to maneuver attacks from the mainstream media with expertise in a way that highlights the Make America Great Again platform.

During the incident, the reporter claimed that Vance had suggested the only reason Vice President Kamala Harris didn’t choose Pennsylvania Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro to be her running mate was because he is Jewish.  Vance sounded off on the question, claiming the MSNBC reporter was spouting “DNC talking points.”

“You have repeatedly suggested that the only reason that Kamala Harris didn’t pick Josh Shapiro to be her running mate is because of his Jewish faith. Do you have any evidence to support that assertion that a person who is married to a Jewish man is somehow antisemitic or bowing to antisemites?” Vance was asked while taking questions from the press.

Vance decisively shot down the remark, urging the reporter to “ask a real question.”  He said, “Well, I reject the premise of the question. I did not say that that was the only reason that Kamala Harris didn’t choose Josh Shapiro, so you should take a little less DNC talking points when you ask your questions and ask a real question.”

“I have suggested that Kamala Harris was motivated, or at least her party, was motivated by antisemitism, and the evidence that I offer for that is what dozens of Democratic activists said in the run-up to her selecting her nominee,” Vance added,  “There were multiple grassroots activists, multiple media personalities, multiple people with influence in the Democratic Party who suggested that she should not choose Josh Shapiro because of his ethnic background.”

Former President Trump’s running mate concluded his brilliant response, stating, “Look, I don’t care what your ethnic background is. I know Donald Trump doesn’t care what your ethnic background is. I do not want to live in a country where we are choosing who the next VP is because of skin color or ethnic heritage. Choose based on merit, and the fact that so many prominent leaders in the far-left felt empowered to talk about Shapiro’s ethnic heritage is a disgrace, and I think it is a scandal for the Democrat Party.”

Users on social media applauded Vance’s commentary, with one person stating, “Boom! Mic drop. Out their in front of the media taking questions. We win every time. Biden hid in his basement and Harris is doing the same.”  Another user added, “Great response from Vance and well supported. Right on everything except his assertion that Trump doesn’t care about someone’s ethnic background. Trump was fixated on whether Kamala was Black.”

Others pointed out that all Americans should reflect the Ohio senator’s values.  “Vance states what all Americans should believe. That ethnic background should not be a basis of selecting a running mate; and this is a scandal for the Democratic Party in forcing Kamala to push Shapiro aside,” they said.  “This guy in 3 days has turned into a fantastic politician. Keep him off the teleprompter. Hes 10 times better speaking freely vs the media. Hes gonna kill it in the debate,” another person weighed in.
