She is young and she is having fun on the court. Rookie sensation Caitlin Clark has once again set her name in the record books as she is the owner of the single-season mark for assists in the WNBA, as the Indiana Fever star was dealing on Friday.

Clark’s 317th assist of the season gave her the league record as she is only ready to keep on adding to it. Alyssa Thomas was the one that previously owned the mark as this is another milestone in her very young professional career.

Sadly for her and her team, the Fever dropped the game against Las Vegas Aces by a score of 78-74 as she finished with 18 points and a total of nine assists in the game, that helped her set the new record.

Young and shining

Caitlin Clark was drafted number one in the previous 2024 WNBA Draft, all after she set many records in college with the Iowa Hawkeyes. She is a two-time NCAA Tournament runner-up, led NCAA Division I in scoring and assists three times and was twice named Player of the Year playing for her school.

As a professional, she had already established rookie records, and it all started since the first game she played in her official debut with the Indiana Fever, against the Connecticut Sun on May 14, 2024.

During that encounter, she scored 20 points and distributed three assists, setting a record in this category for a rookie player. She is poised to continue improving and setting even more records.
