GENERAL Hospital star Bryan Craig has announced plans to return to the soap opera eight years after his departure.

The actor’s character, Morgan Stone Corinthos, was killed off.

More than a week after Bryan, 32, hinted at a possible return to the show, his rep confirmed the news, according to People.

He will reprise his role as Morgan for a brief appearance on the soap opera, which airs on ABC.

The episode will air later this summer.

Bryan will only return for one episode, but fans are eager to see it.

Loyal General Hospital viewers have been speculating that his character would return at some point.

Earlier this month, the show’s executive producer, Frank Valenti, teased the return of a male character, as reported by ABC 7.

“A former cast member is coming back and I think the audience will go crazy… for him,” the exec said during the 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.

General Hospital won Outstanding Daytime Drama Series – its fourth in the category.

On June 12, Bryan got fans talking when he responded to a news article on X, formerly Twitter, talking about the mystery character’s return.

“Who could it be…….,” he replied.

“Ughh.. Don’t tease us and get our hopes up,” one person posted in response.

“Loved Bryan Craig since day 1 on GH? Was so bummed that he was leaving, so I hope it is him,” a second shared.

“Bryan, I hope you are not teasing us. I would love to see you back on #GH,” a fourth fan gushed.

“Well I’m hoping it’s Morgan because we fans have only been screaming for years to bring Morgan back because he is the favorite character among fans so I’m hoping we finally get Morgan back after all these years,” another fan said of Bryan’s character.

Bryan also teased his return on Instagram.

That same week, he shared a carousel of photos on Instagram that showed him on the set of General Hospital.

Fans were quick to notice and ran wild with speculation in the comments.

Bryan starred on General Hospital from 2013 to 2016.

His character, Morgan, was seemingly killed in a car bombing.

Though his body was never found.

In 2017, he returned to the show in a guest appearance, showing up in Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) dream.

WHO’LL IT BE?

Following Frank’s initial announcement, fans began speculating about which character could be making their way back to Port Charles.

In addition to Bryan, some believed it could have been Jonathan Jackson, who played Lucky Spencer.

Jack Wagner, who played Frisco Jones, was also in contention.

“I would love it to be Jonathan Jackson (Lucky),” one person posted on X.

“Hope [Praying hands] it’s Lucky or Nathan West !!!” a second shared.

“I am hoping that the return will be SPENCER!!!” a third exclaimed.

Some, however, worried bringing an old character back may only lead to disappointment.

“Unless it’s someone fans have been screaming for to return for years like oh Morgan then yah we will love that but given how they refuse to listen to the fans, my guess is it will be someone we don’t care about and it will be a big let down like always, we have to wait and see,” one fan noted.

General Hospital fans have dealt with some real-life tragedy in recent months.
