JAMES Franco has confirmed his friendship with Seth Rogen is over after “20 great years together”.

The Hollywood pair – who starred in the film This Is end together – are no longer talking, despite being incredible close for many years.

Their friendship came to an abrupt end for the two men when Seth, 42, publicly cut off his Pineapple Express co-star, 46.

It came after James was accused and sued by his students over behaving inappropriately and sexually towards them in 2018.

The Disaster Artist star denied the allegations via his attorney.

The actor settled the lawsuit for $2.2 million in July 2021.

But the aftermath of the allegations, saw his good friend Seth take the decision to no longer work with his lifelong movie collaborator.

Now a heartbroken James has given an update on whether he has reconciled with his friend.

In an interview with Variety, the actor candidly revealed: “I haven’t talked to Seth. I love Seth, we had 20 great years together, but I guess it’s over.

“And not for lack of trying.”

Continuing, a clearly devastated James told the outlet: “I’ve told him how much he’s meant to me.”

When the allegations against James first came out in 2018, Seth initially said that he would continue to work with his friend of 20 years.

But three years later he did a u-turn and said this would not be the case after all.

Speaking to the Sunday Times in 2021, Seth said: “What I can say is that I despise abuse and harassment and I would never cover or conceal the actions of someone doing it, or knowingly put someone in a situation where they were around someone like that.”

He added that it was “not a coincidence” that he hadn’t worked with James since.

In reaction to Seth’s comments, James told SiriusXM: “Of course it was hurtful, you know, in context, but I get it, you know, he had to answer for me cause I was silent.

“He had to answer for me, and I don’t want that.

“And so that’s why, it’s one of the main reasons I wanted to talk to you today is I just, I don’t want Seth or my brother or anyone to have to answer for me anymore.”

James and Seth’s friendship goes back two decades and saw them become friends on the set of Freaks and Geeks.

After this they worked on multiple films together including Pineapple Express, This Is the End, The Disaster Artist, and The Interview.
