MANDY Moore has opened up about her fertility journey while currently pregnant with her third child.

The This Is Us star talked about the struggles she faced ahead of her first pregnancy during her Tuesday morning appearance on The View.

Mandy, 40, said that before having her first child, she was told by doctors that she had cartilage on top of her uterus that prevented her from getting pregnant.

Told she would need to have a “special surgery” to remove the cartilage, Mandy said she ended up not needing it in the end.

“Low and behold, that ended up not being the case, but it was a year of going back and forth and trying to figure out what was happening with my body,” she explained.

“Everyone’s fertility journey is so vastly different and I’m glad there’s more of a dialogue, helping destigmatize the conversation around fertility,” Mandy added.

The A Walk To Remember star and her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, welcomed their first child, August, in February 2021.

Mandy gave birth to the couple’s second son, Oscar, in October 2022.

She is currently seven months pregnant with their third child, soon welcoming her first girl.

While Mandy said she and Taylor were “so excited” to finally be adding a girl to the bunch, she said they were nervous about having three kids under the age of four.

As the actress gears up to expand her family, she has also launched a new business venture with two of her This Is Us co-stars.

Mandy, Sterling K. Brown, and Chris Sullivan appeared together on the NBC series from 2016 to 2022.

Earlier this year, the three rebranded This Is Us to That Was Us — a podcast where the three watch and reminisce over episodes of the show.

While speaking about the new podcast on The View, Mandy told the hosts that rewatching the episodes has led her to incorporate some of her character’s parenting decisions into her own life.

She also said things feel “vastly different” now as many This Is Us stars have moved on in their lives since shooting.

In terms of her career, the actress admitted to “hitting a break wall” before landing the role of Rebecca Pearson in the hit series.

She said she “stuck it out,” however, which ultimately led her to the “incredible gift” of This Is Us.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Mandy also revealed what currently stands at the top of her career bucket list — the Broadway stage.

As a singer and actress, Mandy called being a part of New York theater the “pedestal of all pedestals,” adding that the opportunity would be both “terrifying” and “elating.”

Mandy has appeared on several movie soundtracks, singing Stupid Cupid in The Princess Diaries and the hit song Only Hope in A Walk To Remember – but has yet to tread the Broadway boards.

She also tugged at fans’ heartstrings in episodes of This Is Us, most memorably with singing The Forever Now.
