New Video of Dijonai Carrington Foul on Caitlin Clark has Fever Fans Fuming
Though the Connecticut Sun handled the Indiana Fever pretty handily in their 98-63 win in Game 1 of the WNBA Playoffs on Sunday, the game wasn’t without controversy.
Fans were heated on social media immediately after the play, and Clark worse the proof of the damage done as her right eye began to bruise and swell as the game wore on, making the backlash the WNBA refs drew all the more intense.
Hours after the game ended, a new video of the play emerged on X showing a new angle of what happened, which seemed to backup many fan’s belief that the foul was intentional on Carrington’s part, leaving Fever fans fuming about what happened.
“This is so disgusting. The @WNBA better take action immediately. How can you allow the face of the league to be intentionally injured like this? #CaitlinClark,” one fan wrote.
“Dude. That was clearly intentional wtf! The league needs to take a look at the is. Suspend her a–,” another exclaimed.

“She should be suspended @IndianaFever pls contest this,” a third fan lamented.
“Flagrant fouls like that against Clark are always intentional but nothing was called!” one user remarked.
“That’s disgusting. Blatant eye poke. Pathetic,” another said.
“What a thug! She clearly angled her fingers to blind CC. Too bad the WNBA will just ignore this,” another fan quipped.
Clark admitted after the game that though her eye was black and swollen, it didn’t affect her shooting ability.
The Associated Press WNBA Rookie of the Year finished with 11 points, eight assists and four rebounds in her playoff debut.
