Football fans are ripping on former wide receiver Antonio Brown over his cruel and insensitive tweet about Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

In the third quarter of Thursday night’s game against the Buffalo Bills, Tua Tagovailoa suffered a concussion after his head made hard contact with Damar Hamlin during a routine tackle attempt.

Tagovailoa was quickly ruled out of the game, forcing the Dolphins to finish the contest with backup Skylar Thompson. The Bills went on to win 31-10 in a lopsided affair, but the Dolphins’ main concern is Tua’s health over the result of last night’s game.

Tua Tagovailoa suffered three concussions during the 2022 season and had to miss five games. Naturally, some fans and prognosticators on social media began to wonder if Tua may end up having to retire after another head injury scare.

As such, you can understand why fans were enraged with Antonio Brown’s tweet that coldly joked about Tagovailoa having CTE:

Fans wasted no time destroying the former Pro Bowl wide receiver for his insensitive tweet on Tua Tagovailoa:

Brown last played in the NFL three seasons ago, but as we’ve all learned, he’ll never stop saying out-of-line things on social media if it means attracting more attention to himself.

Tagovailoa’s night ended with 145 passing yards on 17 completions for one touchdown and three interceptions, including a pick-six. Thompson finished 8-of-14 for 40 yards and no touchdown in the blowout loss.

Dolphins Should Find More QB Depth Behind Tua Tagovailoa

With all due respect to Skylar Thompson, he’s not suited to be a long-term starting quarterback if Tua has to miss time. The Dolphins have too much talent in place and can’t afford another lost season because of lackluster quarterback depth behind Tagovailoa.

Old friend Ryan Tannehill is a potential option for Miami in free agency. Or they could look at trading for an experienced veteran like Joe Flacco, Jameis Winston or Andy Dalton. The bottom line is that GM Chris Grier must act if Tagovailoa misses more time.

Everybody Said The Same Thing About Damar Hamlin After He Gave Tua Tagovailoa A Concussion & Knocked Him Out Of TNF Game

Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa was injured at the end of a scramble in the third quarter.

Tagovailoa left the game late in the third quarter with an apparent head injury when Buffalo safety Damar Hamlin hit him at the end of a fourth-down scramble for a first down.

It did not look good, it did not sound good. We have seen this before from Tua.

Hamlin hit Tagovailoa with a shoulder to the helmet as the quarterback fell forward, leaving Tua struggling to get up to his feet.

Following the hit, fans took to social media and couldn’t help but mention the irony in Damar Hamlin knocking out Tua Tagovailoa with a concussion based on his history of almost dying on the field.

After adding weight and training to avoid more concussions, Tagovailoa miraculously survived the 2023 season by playing all 17 games last season without a significant injury.

Head injuries were a significant cause for concern for Tagovailoa during the 2022 season when he twice landed in the NFL’s concussion protocol.

The Dolphins went on to lose the game, 31-10. Tua left with 145 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.

Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa Is Likely To Miss Several Games

Injuries have been an issue for Tagovailoa throughout his NFL career, and they reared their ugly head on Thursday night.

Tagovailoa suffered two diagnosed concussions throughout the 2022 season that kept him out of action for four games.

Work in the offseason got him to stay healthy and appear in all 17 games last season.

With this latest concussion, Tua is likely expected to miss one or more games to ensure he will be okay.
